At 31 weeks I was hospitalized due to an ovarian cyst - I was so overcome with pain that I let the doctors and nurses make decisions without even asking any questions. During this stay I had a doctor say to me, "if you can't handle this you will never be able to handle birth". Unfortunately during that time in the world only my partner was allowed in the delivery room. Even with the best intentions and preparation we were both out of our depths once labor hit. My second birth was an entirely different experience because of being able to choose to have additional support people and the experience of a doula.

I’m Becca—I’m a wife to an incredible husband, a mama to three babies I get to love on every day, and four babies who are waiting on me in heaven. I’m a labor and delivery nurse of six years, a childbirth educator, and an overall lover of all things birth. I believe that you and I were divinely created to bring life into this world, and my hope is that, as your doula, I can link arms with you on your walk to bringing your sweet baby earth side. My name is Rachel and I'm a 30-something mama to two crazy kiddos and one dog. I have been immersed in the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum world since 2017 and had two amazing doula-attended births of my own. I believe in, honor, and encourage physiological birth. I believe in the power of connectedness, of relationships between women within a community. To that end, as your doula and your guide, my goal is to really get to know you so that you will feel comfortable and confident with me by your side during the birth of your new baby.
