I am Alex and I have been teaching English as a second language for 8 years in London and for about 14 years in total. My first language is Romanian, but I also speak Italian, Spanish, and French. Teaching is my way of being of service and I love every aspect of it, even the more challenging ones. I taught in Romania and Spain but working in London is by far my favourite place to be as it allows me to meet students and teachers from all over the world. I cannot wait to see you in my class and to help you become a confident English speaker. I’m from London, but spent many years working in Russia, including as a Cambridge examiner for the British Council. When I’m not teaching I enjoy the theatre, museums, pubs and eating out, so London’s the perfect location for me, with so much to offer. You can also find me out of town on warm weekends as I’m a fan of long country walks and swimming too.

Before teaching, I lived in France for 10 years, so well understand the challenges of using a second language. For me, learning is serious, but it is also fun - so I insist you have fun in my classes! Despite my years in Paris, I am a true Londoner and am proud to share my language and city with people from all over the world.
